Parley
To speak with a nation, select one of their lands and choose Parley.
- Relations have five states: Ally, Friendly, Wary, Hostile, War.
- Friendship is numeric; high values signal alliance, low values war.
- Mood reflects personal sentiment and influences relations.
Diplomatic Measures
- Offer Friendship — improves relations; enables movement through their lands.
- Trade — increases friendship and yields income while connected.
- Give Gift — improves friendship and mood.
- Offer Alliance — powerful but costly.
- Declare War — severe penalties; may affect other nations’ mood.
Strategic Notes
- Trade agreements require physical connection (lands or seas touching).
- Great powers demand higher costs to influence.
- As the world fills, nations tend toward hostility; prepare accordingly.
